ما أحــلى طـعـم الـمــوت!!



عقارب الساعة تكاد تتجاوز الثانية ظهراً يلملم "عبدالسلام" حاجياته مسرعًا؛ فلم يتبق على بدء حظر التجوال في مدينته القدس سوى ساعتين يجب أن يخرج من المكتب قبل أن تزدحم الشوارع بالعائدين إلى بيوتهم؛ فما زال أمامه المرور على طفليه لإحضارهما من المدرسة، ثم شراء مستلزمات البيت حتى الغد، ثم السير لأكثر من عشرين دقيقة فالحافلة لا تمر إلا بالشوارع الرئيسة.. إنها معاناة كل يوم.

يخرج عبدالسلام من المكتب متعجلاً؛ يتجاهل حتى رد السلام فربما يجره رد السلام إلى ثرثرةٍ لا طائل منها سوى التأخير وإضاعة الوقت .

الحمد لله، لم تتأخر الحافلة، سأصل إلى المدرسة قبل خروج الأطفال

ما شاء الله.. مقعدان خاليان بالحافلة -

أعتقد أن الجلوس بجوار هذا الصبي الصغير سيكون أفضل من الجلوس بجوار السيدة

تفحص عبدالسلام الصبي سريعًا.. فلم ير إلا جسده النحيل، إنه لا يتجاوز الخامسة عشرة؛ ولكن لماذا يدور ببصره من خلال النافذة وكأنه يبحث عن شيء ما؟ إنه حتى لا يشعر بوجودي

بماذا يتمتم؟

لعله يهمس لنفسه بكلمات إحدى تلك الأغنيات الغريبة التي يسمعها الصبية هذه الأيام.. أفضل شيء أن أحاول الاسترخاء قليلاً، فما زال الطريق طويلاً، وأنا أشعر اليوم بأنني منهكٌ تماماً.

التفت الصبي إليه فجأة، وكأنه يتساءل: منذ متى وأنت هنا؟

بادله عبدالسلام بنظرة ترحاب، تجاهلها الصبي ليعود إلى النافذة

من الواضح أن هذا الصبي غريب الأطوار

ربما يمر بأزمة عاطفية، أو ربما هي أعراض الحب الأول..

وقبل أن يهمَّ عبدالسلام بالضحك في أعماقه.. التفت إليه الصبي فجأة
هل ذقت طعم الموت يا سيدي؟ -

ماذا؟.. طعم ماذا؟ - قالها عبدالسلام متعجبًا فزعًا من هذا السؤال المفاجئ

الموت يا سيدي -

شعر عبدالسلام بأن كلمة "غريب الأطوار" كانت مجحفة لشخصية هذا الصبي.. ولكن لا بأس؛ فالحوار يقتل دقائق الانتظار للوصول إلى المدرسة .

وماذا يعرف صبيٌ في مثل عمرك عن الموت؟ -

ليس أكثر مما تعرفه أنت يا سيدي، وليس أقل -

فماذا تعرف أنت عن الموت؟

الموت يا بني.. الموت هو الموت -

هل رأيت يا سيدي؟ نحن لا نعرف شيئًا عن الموت، فمن منا يستطيع أن يصف ملامح الموت؟

وكذلك الموت.. لا يعرفنا ؛ فهو لا يميز صغيرنا من كبيرنا، ولا ضعيفنا من قويِّنا، ولا فقيرنا من غنيِّنا
يا سيدي نحن والموت كمسافرين في قطارين متعاكسين؛ لا نلتقي إلا للحظاتٍ معدودة؛ لا تكفي للتعارف .

صدقت يا بني؛ ولكن من في مثل عمرك يتحدث عن الموت -

ولماذا يا سيدي؟.. الموت سلعة بائرة لا يشتريها الكبار عندما يجب عليهم ذلك.. لذا يجدها الصغار في الأسواق بأبخس الأثمان

ربما -

قالها مفضلاً قطع هذا الحوار السخيف، ومتعجبًا من هذه الفلسفة الغريبة التي تورط في الإنصات إليها

أعاد الصبي النظر من النافذة، ثم ما لبث أن التفت ثانيةً إلى عبدالسلام

لم تجبني يا سيدي؟ -

بماذا يا بني؟ -

هل ذقت طعم الموت؟ -

يا بني: الموتى فقط هم من يذوقون طعم الموت، أما الأحياء فلا -

يا سيدي: الموتى لا يتذوقون.. إنهم موتى؛ ألا تفهم؟! إنهم موتى -

يا بني: إذا كان الموتى لا يذوقون طعم الموت؛ فكيف تدَّعي أن الأحياء يذوقونه؟

لأن الأحياء هم من أنعم الله عليهم بالإدراك.. لذا فهم يتذوقون -

ولكن.. ألم تقل يا بني إننا لا نعرف شيئًا عن الموت؟ -

صحيح يا سيدي.. ولكننا نستطيع أن نشم رائحته، أن نذوق طعمه -

كيف ونحن لا نعرفه؟ -

يا سيدي، عندما تخرج من بيتك كل صباحٍ تتلمَّس الموت.. تذوق طعمه عندما تجوب الشوارع والطرقات.. تفتش عن الموت.. تذوق طعمه عندما تطارده بجسدك الضعيف غير مبالٍ.. تذوق طعمه عندما تشعر به يفر من أمامك مذعورًا.. تذوق طعمه عندما تجده أجبن من أن يحصدك.. تذوق طعمه عندما تعود إلى دارك آخر النهار مهمومًا؛ لأنك لم تمسك بالموت تذوق طعمه يا سيدي، عندما تخرج لسانك للموت.. تذوق طعم الموت

نظر عبدالسلام إلى الصبي مرتابًا، وقد سرت بأطرافه قشعريرة باردة

"ربما يكون به مسّ"

نفض الفكرة عن ذهنه سريعًا.. ربما الحديث عن الموت هو ما يفزعه، ولم لا ؟ فالنفس البشرية تجزع من الموت ولكن ما بال هذا الصبي يتحدث عن الموت وكأنه صديقٌ حميم يعرفه جيدًا؟ هل يكون روحًا؟!!

ما هذا يا عبدالسلام؟ هل تفقدك عباراتٍ بلهاء- يهذي بها صبيٌّ مخبولٌ صوابك

تمنى عبدالسلام لو يعاود الصبي حديثه، فربما قطعت الكلمات هذا السيل من الأفكار البلهاء التي تحاصره
وكأن الصبي يتعمد أن يدعه لأفكاره تعبث به مكتفيًا بالنظر من خلال نافذته

حاول عبدالسلام مجاذبة الصبي أطراف الحديث مرة أخرى..

إلى أين أنت ذاهبٌ يا بني؟ -

إلى داري -

هل كنت في المدرسة؟ -

لا -

هل تعمل؟ -

نظر إليه الصبي بحزن وقال ..

أبي لا يجد عملاً، وكذلك أخي الأكبر -

إذًا مِن أين قدمت؟ -

ألم تقل منذ لحظات إنك في طريقك إلى بيتك؟ -

لا يا سيدي.. وإنما قلت أنا في طريقي إلى داري -

تراقصت الحيرة في عينيَّ عبدالسلام مغلفةً كلماته

قادمٌ من بيتك.. وفي طريقك إلى دارك؟ -

نعم يا سيدي.. قادمٌ من بيتي وفي طريقي إلى داري .. ما الغريب في هذا؟

لا شيء يا بني.. لا شيء -

شعر عبدالسلام بالرغبة في النهوض سريعًا.. بالتأكيد هذا الصبي ليس طبيعيًّا ، تمنى لو تسرع الحافلة قليلاً لينهي هذا العبث.. تمنى لو لم يستقل هذه الحافلة، لم يرها..

أحس بالندم؛ لأنه لم يرد السلام على زميله أثناء خروجه.. لربما شغلهما الحديث حينها فيعمى عن رؤية هذه الحافلة اللعينة وكأنما أدرك الصبي أنه قد نال من عبدالسلام.. فتحركت ملامحه الجامدة ليمتلئ وجهه لأول مرة بابتسامة مودة

هل لديك أطفال يا سيدي؟ -

نعم، لدي "نضال" عمره ثماني سنوات، و"جهاد" عمرها ست سنوات، و"صلاح الدين" عمره ثلاث سنوات

قَــرَّ الله بهم عينك

وأدامك الله لأهلك سالمًا يا بنيّ -

عندما يكبر أطفالك يا سيدي، عندما ينضجون، عندما يفهمون عندما يسألونك عن الموت.. قل لهم يا سيدي " ما أحلى طعم الموت "

لم يمهلني الوقت للتفكير في معنى كلماته، فقد صرخ فجأة مستوقفًا السائق، لينهض مهرولاً إلى الباب الأمامي حتى كاد أن يزيحني من مقعدي وقبل أن يهبط من الحافلة.. توقف فجأة وكأنه تذكر أمرًا مهمًّا.. نظر إلى السيدة التي بجواري؛ عانقها بعينيه، قبَّــل يديها وسألها الدعاء أطالت النظر إليه وكأنها تحفر ملامحه في ذاكرتها؛ احتضنته بعينيها، خبأته في صدرها، طبعت على خديه قبلة عميقة رسم على شفتيه ابتسامة رضا وهبط مسرعًا.. أخذ يعدو في الطريق كالصاروخ المنطلق يخترق الزحام.. لا أدري لماذا؟ أو إلى أين ؟

إنه فعلاً صبيٌّ غريب.. حتى أفكاره وكلماته غريبة مثله

انطلقت الحافلة.. نظرت إلى السيدة أفتش في ملامحها عن سر

هذا الصبي.. لقد تصلبت ملامحها حتى بدت كالموتى

لم تمر سوى لحظات.. حتى دوى صوت انفجارٍ هائل.. توقفت الحافلة فجأة، نهض كل من بداخلها يتطلعون إلى الخلف

لقد كانت سيارة عسكرية اسرائيلية تحترق ككومة من القش..

قطع صمت الجميع زغرودة طويلة أطلقتها تلك السيدة

لقـد كانت أمّــه ..

.. أبـت إلاّ أن تصحبـه إلى حفـل عرسـه .........

Behind the game face of female football fans
Avid devotion to NFL teams allow women to flex their fanhood
You think NFL coaches are busy.
Kathy Buckwell starts preparing for game day long before kickoff.
"You start the week before preparing for the team you are going to play," says Buckwell of Rochester. "Phone calls go back and forth between fans: 'So what do you think? What do you think we are going to do this week?'"
But Buckwell needs to do it in between her job at the University of Rochester and shuttling her teenage daughter to swim meets. Buckwell, 48, is president of the Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Club of Rochester, which gathers at Six Pockets Bar and Grill in Irondequoit.
Yes, you read that correctly. She is the president of a local National Football League team fan club.
Buckwell is a part of the NFL's female fan base and proud of it. Plenty of area women not only enjoy the game of football but can also talk Xs and Os with the legions of male armchair quarterbacks.
Some Baltimore Ravens fans joined the Photo City Browns Backers, a local fan club for the Cleveland Browns, at a game last year.
"We sat in the Dawg Pound. They were just dumbfounded at how many women from the club went and how many there were when we got to the game," says the club's president, James Lee. "These women really know the game of football."
Todd Harrison, assistant professor for sport management at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, points to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 as one of the catalysts for an increase in female sports fans.
The federal law prohibits sex discrimination in any educational program or activity at any educational institution that receives federal funds, and athletics are considered to be educational programs under this law.
Title IX gave women more opportunities to participate in athletics, and that allowed more women to have more of a connection to sports as an athlete, fan and consumer.
"My mom is a big sports fan, but she is from a family that followed sports," says Harrison, who adds that his mom grew up before Title IX and did not have the opportunity to play sports that women do now.
"Now, women having more of a sports background and more sports experiences can relate to what they see on television and they have started to consume more. Teams have done a much better job of tailoring themselves and their efforts to women."
Natalie Bianchi-Gionta of Ontario, Wayne County, is a member of the Photo City Browns Backers fan club and so is her mom, Carol Brown of Ontario.
Carol Brown, 65, is a native of Cleveland and used to go to Browns games with her father and sister. She typically goes to at least one game each season in Cleveland — including the Sept. 14 Browns-Steelers game in the rain, with the winds whipping at 50 miles per hour — as well as the draft day party held by the Browns organization.
"I consider myself very lucky to have seen some of the best football players ever play," says Brown, a data specialist. "I've seen Jim Brown many, many times. I was at the championship game in 1964 when we beat Baltimore."
Carol Brown's love for the Browns was passed on to Bianchi-Gionta, who has been a fan since seventh grade. On game day, she doesn't just root for the team along with other club members at Bathtub Billy's Restaurant and Sports Bar in Greece, she also studies what goes right and wrong on the field.
"Do I know the (team) roster by heart? No," says Bianchi-Gionta. "Do I know the positions and who is supposed to be doing what and when somebody blows an assignment and completely screws up a play? Absolutely."
By the way, Bianchi-Gionta doesn't just study the plays made by her team, she also pays attention to what other teams in the NFL are doing on the field as well. She has a fantasy football team.
"Currently, my fantasy football team has a better record than my husband's team," she says with a laugh.
Charleen Payne of Perinton is a New England Patriots fan. The Boston native and her husband, Richard, are members of the Patriots Fan Club of Rochester, which watches games at Stucko's Bar & Grill in Rochester.
Nearly 35 percent of the club's current 70 members are women, says club president Dean Nicosia.
"They're probably the loudest, most die-hard fans," adds Nicosia of Rochester.
Payne, 67, watched football on television with brothers as a youngster. Her husband played semi-pro football, and early in their relationship, she used to pepper him and her brothers with football questions.
On Sundays after church, the couple will either go to Stucko's to watch the game or invite friends over if the game is televised locally. Whether she is at home or the bar, Payne will don some Patriots attire.
"We wear all of the gear," says the retired teacher. "Our ice bucket is a Patriots ice bucket. Our whole basement has been done over in Boston stuff, Boston teams. We've got tons of Celtics stuff, Red Sox, of course."
Elizabeth Watkins could be considered a loner. She is a fervent fan of the Dallas Cowboys, but prefers to watch her team alone (except for the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader doll sitting next to her). That way, there are no Cowboys haters around.
So she records the games on Sundays while she does stuff with the family and watches later.
"I don't like to watch them live, it makes me nervous," says Watkins, a teacher, who adds she thought the Sept. 15 back-and-forth game between the Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles would give her a heart attack.
Recording games runs in the family, actually. Elizabeth's sister Anita Watkins of Henrietta records Buffalo Bills games. The sisters often see each other on Sundays and there is occasional "good-natured" trash talk.
"I don't harass her when the Cowboys are playing," says Anita Watkins, a social worker. "She just likes to harass me when the Buffalo Bills are playing. But I give the Cowboys their props, they're doing all right."
Though the Watkins sisters can talk football to each other and their siblings, Elizabeth says men are often surprised that she enjoys football.
"They cannot believe that I actually like football and I am not liking football to impress a guy. They are really surprised at how much I really know and sometimes, I surprise myself about how much I really know about a team."
Buckwell does not consider herself a walking encyclopedia, but she can surprise folks with her football IQ, too.
"I can tell you what they did last week or I know the top running backs," says Buckwell, who goes to three or four games a years in Pittsburgh "with the girls."
"I know where our players rank, where our defense is, where Philadelphia's defense was last week."
On a typical NFL game day when the Steelers are playing, Buckwell prepares for kickoff by putting the Steelers flags on the car. She may paint her nails black and gold and she will dress the part. She has Steelers pants, rings, charms, underwear and of course, a Terrible Towel.

Buckwell has a Steelers tank top, but she draws the line at some things.
"No pink, no cheerleaders, that's it, done," says Buckwell. "It's all about the gritty football. Steelers fans wear the black and the gold."
